Job summary

Chainalysis is seeking an Iran-focused intelligence analyst to own attribution end-to-end, specializing in Iran and IRGC crypto activity. You will map on-chain networks, analyze sanctions-related designations, and produce actionable intelligence for customers and partners.

You will also represent Chainalysis publicly on Iran crypto threats and help shape the data collection agenda, while building automation to scale analytical work.

Qualifications

• Deep, demonstrable Iran expertise and proxy networks knowledge.
• On-chain tracing experience against Iranian targets (exchanges, sanctions evasion).
• National-security or threat-finance background required.
• Regional fluency in geopolitics and finance; Farsi/Arabic a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own Iran attribution end to end, including threat-actor definitions and on-chain links.
• Lead attribution responses to sanctions events with rapid, high-visibility analysis.
• Map networks on-chain: VASPs, exchanges, mixers, no-KYC, mining, off-ramps.
• Produce finished intelligence for advisories, briefs, and reports.
• Represent Chainalysis as external expert on Iran crypto threats at events and briefings.
• Help set Iran collection agenda and feed requirements into our collection process.
• Translate typologies into detection guidance for products and customers.
• Build AI-driven automation to scale analysis and support the team.
• Mentor and elevate the Iran/threat-finance capability across the team.
