Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service in Lampeter area is seeking a friendly Personal Assistant to support a blind lady in accessing the local community, attending activities and social events, and promoting independence and wellbeing. You will provide companionship, guidance outdoors, and practical support to engage in interests and outings.

Role involves local travel and driving as a core element, with 4 hours per week at £14.25 per hour, employed directly by the client

• Support and accompany me to local walks, the beach, community events, theatres and live music venues.
• Provide safe guiding and assistance outdoors — on busy streets, uneven paths and the countryside.
• Support engagement with my interests in fashion, hair and beauty, and social activities.
• Help plan activities and explore new places and events in the local area.
• Transport me by car; driving is a core part of the role.
