Job summary

United Therapeutics Corporation in Houston, TX seeks a Supervisor of Animal Technicians to lead a GMP-compliant team in a designated pathogen-free facility, oversee SOP-driven husbandry, recordkeeping, and daily care including feeding, cleaning, and sample handling, ensuring animal welfare, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on animal care expertise, and ability to develop staff, manage performance, and coordinate with Vet Techs and QA during

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in animal sciences or related field with required experience.
• 7+ years in large animal care; 5+ years if bachelor's.
• Ability to work weekends/holidays; strong communication and multitasking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; good data recording skills.
• Knowledge of USDA, FDA, DEA regulations and SOP practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, coach, train and develop a team of animal technicians.
• Ensure all tasks follow SOPs and GMP standards daily.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support recruitment as needed.
• Perform daily animal care duties: feeding, washing, handling pigs, and reproductive tasks.
• Collaborate with Vet Techs during operations and inspections.
