Job description

Martin Marietta is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated. This role involves safely and efficiently operating a Dozer and related equipment for daily operations. Responsibilities include performing daily pre- and post-inspections of equipment and work areas, maintaining work areas with adequate berms and roadways, and adhering to safety standards.

Work Hours: 6 am - 6 pm, including weekends as necessary.

Typical duties of a Dozer Operator include:

1. Operating a dozer within company guidelines and safety standards.
2. Participating in safety inspections, plant safety programs, and following MSHA safety rules and regulations.
3. Constructing haul roads, preparing drill benches, leveling shot material after blasting, and constructing drainage as needed.
4. Assisting in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles.
5. Performing pre-shift safety inspections and reporting repairs to the supervisor.
6. Performing preventative maintenance, servicing mobile equipment, and maintaining good housekeeping of equipment.
7. Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site.
8. Operating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks as needed.
9. Assisting in training co-workers.
10. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of mobile and construction equipment.
• Experience in dozer operation and maintenance is preferred.
