The role coordinates across City departments and partners to drive redevelopment, placemaking, and economic vitality, ensuring downtown remains welcoming, safe, and competitive for residents, visitors, and businesses.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in downtown management, economic development, redevelopment, planning, or closely related fields.
• Experience leading complex projects and working with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in public-private partnerships or municipal government environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate downtown activity by facilitating engagement between City and downtown entities.
• Lead downtown revitalization, placemaking, and economic competitiveness initiatives.
• Develop and implement long-range strategies to increase investment, activity, and vitality.
• Recruit and assist restaurants, retailers, office users, and entertainment venues.
• Manage administrative aspects of the program, including budgeting, reporting, and staffing.
