Downtown Spokane Partnership in Spokane, WA seeks an Economic Vitality & Business Relations Specialist who enjoys building relationships, helping businesses solve problems, and turning information into practical action.

The role connects DSP with downtown businesses, entrepreneurs, property owners, and community partners to support retention, recruitment, and investment, with duties including visits, research, records, and program coordination.

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant experience in business, customer relations, or project coordination.
• Ability to build trust with business owners, property reps, public staff.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication with next steps.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Excel; ability to learn CRM tools.
• Ability to interpret business and market information.
• Ability to work in downtown Spokane with flexible hours.

Responsabilités

• Conduct proactive business visits to identify challenges and growth opportunities.
• Track assistance requests and coordinate referrals to resources.
• Maintain regular contact with businesses, property owners, brokers.
• Support recruitment and investment with spaces and market data.
• Maintain accurate records of business activity and investments.
• Analyze outreach findings and prepare economic vitality updates.
• Recruit and engage new DSP members and manage renewal conversations.
• Organize roundtables, resource workshops, and targeted initiatives.
• Collaborate with Marketing and other teams on district concerns.
