Job summary

Menashe Properties, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Building Engineer for high-rise downtown Portland.

This onsite, full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm, with participation in an evening/weekend on-call rotation to protect tenant operations and safety. You will perform preventive maintenance and repair across HVAC, plumbing, electrical and basic construction, maintain rounds and CMMS documentation, and assist with estimating time and materials.

Qualifications

• Commercial/institutional maintenance experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general construction).
• Safe use of hand and power tools.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, climb ladders, access mechanical spaces, and work on roofs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Manage rounds, work orders, and CMMS documentation.
• Estimate time and materials for tasks and projects.
• Collaborate with the Lead Building Engineer to ensure tenant operations.
