Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Downstream Planning Leader to guide production planning, scheduling, and inventory management across our U.S. manufacturing network.

You will align capacity, material availability, and demand forecasts with business objectives while partnering with Manufacturing, Upstream Planning, Engineering, Logistics, and Customer Service. In this role, you will develop short- and long-term production plans, manage MPS, balance capacity with labor and customer requirements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3–10 years in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage short-term and long-term production plans to meet demand and objectives.
• Create and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS), balancing capacity, labor, and customer requirements.
• Ensure material availability and optimize inventory including raw materials, WIP, finished goods.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Materials teams to support continuity and minimize risks.
• Analyze capacity constraints, identify bottlenecks, and improve throughput and efficiency.
• Support workforce, tooling, and capacity planning for current and future needs.
• Coordinate production priorities with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, Demand Planning, and Sales to support SIOP.
• Communicate production risks and recovery plans to stakeholders.
• Monitor KPIs: schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory performance, capacity utilization, customer service, lead times.
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach, and develop planning and scheduling teams.
