Job summary

CRISPR Therapeutics, Inc. in Boston, MA, is seeking an Engineer III to own downstream process development for mRNA drug substance and to drive transfers to GMP production at external CDMOs.

You will design, develop, and scale purification steps, coordinate technology transfer, and support campaigns across partner sites, ensuring scalable, robust processes and data-driven decisions throughout all stages. The role requires hands-on experience with chromatography, TFF/UFDF, impurity clearance

Qualifications

• BS/MS with hands-on downstream development for biologics or nucleic acids
• Experience with scale-up to pilot/GMP manufacturing
• Experience transferring processes to external CDMOs

Responsibilities

• Own downstream process development for mRNA drug substance
• Design purification steps and optimize binding/elution conditions
• Lead tech transfers to CDMOs and support GMP campaigns
• Collaborate with QA, analytical, and formulation teams
