Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies in Morrisville/Research Triangle Park, NC, seeks an Associate Manager of Manufacturing Downstream to lead 12-hour shift operations. You will manage Chromatography and UFDF downstream tasks, mentor technicians, and ensure GMP, EHS, and quality compliance across multi-program campaigns.

The role requires hands-on bioprocessing experience, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on continuous improvement in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's with related experience in bioprocessing or engineering.
• Military training with supervisory experience is acceptable.
• 7+ years total related experience preferred; 2–4 years in people management.
• Experience operating DCS software (DeltaV, 800xA, Unicorn).
• Knowledge of CGMP and EHS regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily/weekly operations; schedule shifts and delegate tasks.
• Lead downstream manufacturing activities including Chromatography and recovery.
• Support campaigns from pre-clinical to commercial across client programs.
• Ensure GMP, EHS, SOP adherence and inspection readiness.
• Coach and develop direct reports; drive continuous improvement.
