Job summary

Lonza Vacaville site-based role in Development Services. The Scientist I performs downstream purification process activities under supervision, including lab studies and analytical assays, while applying technical knowledge and seeking guidance when needed.

Responsibilities include running routine studies, data analysis, study protocol drafting, and supporting tech transfer with documentation and communication to teams. A BS in Biological Sciences, Biomedical, or Chemical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required in Biological Sciences, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine downstream process development studies and laboratory experiments under supervision.
• Perform routine analytical testing and maintain proficiency in downstream assays.
• Serve as Study Director for simple studies with timely execution and documentation.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and support process development decisions.
• Draft study protocols, reports, and presentations; communicate findings to team.
