Job summary

Pivot Bio is seeking a Research Associate II to support the development of microbial downstream processes that increase product quality and nitrogen-use efficiency in crops. Reporting to the Scientist III, Downstream, you will contribute to multi-stage downstream workflows, operate disc-stack centrifuges, TF filtration, and dryer systems, and maintain SOPs in a fast-paced lab.

Qualifications

BS degree in life sciences or related field or equivalent experience
2–5 years in a fast-paced industry research lab
Experience with sterile/aseptic handling of microbes
Proficient in CFU/viability plating and cell counting
Excellent communication and attention to detail; ability to document observations
Ability to follow SOPs and work independently

Responsibilities

Support development of microbial downstream processes to improve product quality and shelf-life
Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies and reagents
Document work and observations in a timely, accurate manner
Communicate results within the team and with cross-capability partners
Adhere to safety, hygiene and PPE policies
