Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a hands-on operator to run down stacker equipment and support production lines. You will perform quality checks, prep loads for removal, and retain samples for supervisor review.

Daily reporting and SAP/RF Gen usage will be part of your duties, along with preventative maintenance and occasional machine repairs. The role requires flexibility for shifts (8- or 12-hour) and adherence to SQF standards, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operates down stacker equipment and conducts quality checks.
• Informs SF or Lam operators of sheet quality issues and preps loads for removal.
• Retains customer samples for supervisor review and evaluates load quality.
• Monitors warp and drops out half-loads to aid adjustments on the SF line.
• Keeps daily time and materials usage records in SAP and RF Gen; performs preventative maintenance.
• Disassembles machines to repair or replace worn parts and assists temp staff with tasks while upholding SQF standards.

Job Details

• Operates down stacker equipment.
• Performs quality checks and informs the SF or Lam operators of any sheet quality issues.
• Preps loads for removal.
• Retains customer samples for supervisor review.
• Evaluates load stack quality and tags for proper treatment (i.e. scrap, flip, aerate).
• Evaluates load for warp and drops out ½ loads as necessary to assist SF operator in making adjustments.
• Keeps daily time and materials usage reports and records information in SAP and RF Gen
• Performs Preventative Maintenance.
• Disassembles machines to maintain, repair, or replace broken or worn parts, using hand tools.
• Assist temporary employees with understanding task assignments while Reinforcing SQF standards and Graphic Packaging Internationals core values.
