Job summary

Pomelo Care is a leading virtual medical practice serving women and children across pregnancy, postpartum, pediatrics, menopause, and perimenopause. We invite certified birth and/or full-spectrum doulas to join our growing network in Pennsylvania as independent contractors.

You will educate and guide families, support birth outcomes, and maintain accurate documentation while working virtually or in-person. Pomelo provides credentialing, billing, and admin support so you can focus on care.

Qualifications

• Completed certification and training as a birth and/or full-spectrum doula.
• Experience as a doula with knowledge of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum.
• Strong verbal and written communication to connect with families from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience using telehealth platforms and video conferencing tools.
• Available for virtual and in-person work, including evenings and weekends.
• Located in or able to serve Allegheny and Lehigh counties, PA.

We combine proactive, 24/7 clinical care with technology that helps us reach patients earlier, identify risks sooner, and deliver personalized care throughout their journey. Our team includes clinicians, technologists, operators, and problem-solvers working together to make high-quality care more accessible for families nationwide.

We’re building a network of experienced birth and full-spectrum doulas to educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

This is a1099 independent contractor role and is not an employment (W-2) position. As an independent contractor, you will not be eligible for employee benefits, including but not limited to health insurance, paid time off, workers’ compensation, or unemployment benefits. Pomelo Care will provide services to support your independent practice, such as client matching, billing, and administrative support.

As part of the Pomelo network, you will:

To join Pomelo’s growing network, you are/have:

• You have completed certification and training as a birth and/or full-spectrum doula.

• You have experience working as a doula with an in-depth understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.

• You have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with families from diverse backgrounds both virtually and in-person.

• You’re comfortable using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems.

• You have availability for virtual and in-person work, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of families.

• You are located in or able to serve one of our core service areas:Allegheny and Lehigh counties in Pennsylvania.
