Job summary

Kolache Factory in Virginia Beach is seeking a Dough Baker to prepare fresh dough daily for our signature kolaches. This production-focused role has no cashier duties and offers growth opportunities within the company.

You will measure ingredients, operate baking equipment, and monitor dough quality while keeping the area sanitary and safe. Training is provided, with a potential path to a full Baker role.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food preparation preferred but training will be provided.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable with reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must speak English; bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus.
• Ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, bend and be on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix dough following established recipes and procedures.
• Measure and weigh ingredients accurately.
• Operate commercial baking and mixing equipment safely.
• Monitor dough consistency and quality throughout preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Stock and organize ingredients and supplies as needed.
• Communicate production needs with store management.
• Assist with general kitchen cleaning at shift end.
