Job summary

DoubleTree Lubbock University Area is seeking a Kitchen Steward to keep china, glass, and silver spotless, maintain sanitation, and support the kitchen team.

You will handle dish duties, organize storage, and help ensure safe, orderly operations in a fast-paced hotel environment. The role emphasizes reliability, a flexible attitude, and guest-ready cleanliness, with benefits available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean dishes, scrub pots, sweep floors, and remove trash to keep the kitchen spotless.
• Replace clean china, glass, and silver in storage spots with care to avoid breakage.
• Maintain a positive, flexible attitude and collaborate with team and guests as needed.
• Represent the team with reliability and sound judgment in daily duties.

From scrubbing equipment to organizing utensils and ensuring food is stored and rotated just right, you're the guardian of cleanliness and order in our kitchen kingdom.

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleaning Champions: Keep the kitchen shining by cleaning dishes, scrubbing pots, sweeping floors, and taking out the trash —making every corner fresh and fabulous for the whole team!
• Organization Pros: Replace all clean china , glass, and silver in their proper storage spots (with care—no breakage here!)
• Team Spirits: Bring your best smile, connect with guests and teammates (sometimes solo!), and jump into any task with a can-do, flexible attitude—because every day brings something new and awesome!

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent, and/or relevant experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

• Ability to perform effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
