Job summary

Cypress Healthcare and Rehab in Texas is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a full-time weekend schedule. This role requires providing high-quality patient care and adhering to state and center policies, with pay for 40 hours while working 32 hours per week as part of Baylor Plan applies.

Qualifications

• Current LVN/LPN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents any change in patient's conditions including nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or other changes.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring in programs.
• Document and notify applicable departments of patient room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
