Job summary

Cypress Healthcare and Rehab in Texas is seeking a licensed LVN/LPN to lead nursing care on the weekend shift. This full-time role offers 32 hours paid as 40, with Saturday and Sunday 6am–10pm hours and opportunities for raises and bonuses.

You will follow charting procedures, manage narcotics, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate with physicians. A current TX LVN/LPN license and BLS/CPR certification are required; nursing management experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current LVN/LPN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents any change in patient's conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Documents and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
