Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a Trailer Mechanic/Registered Inspector in Bloomington, CA to inspect, diagnose, and repair a diverse fleet of tank trailers in strict DOT/HM183 compliance. You will work on low-, high-, and cryogenic trailers with a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

The role requires DOT inspection certification, 2+ years of tank trailer repair experience, and solid knowledge of heavy-duty air brake systems and TR/valve piping.

Qualifications

• DOT Inspection Certification required.
• 2+ years tank trailer repair experience.
• Knowledge of DOT HM183 testing methods.
• Ability to read manuals and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test DOT/HM183 compliance on tank trailers (MC 306/406, MC 307/407, etc.).
• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical, structural, and piping systems.
• Service brakes, suspensions, and air brake systems.
• Maintain accurate inspection logs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized shop.
