Job summary

Infosys Limited in the United States seeks a Technology Consultant 1 to contribute to delivering enterprise software solutions. You will engage in requirements gathering, design discussions, and coding tasks aligned with detailed specifications.

You will build APIs, conduct tests, troubleshoot live apps, and document practices to help the team scale. A strong foundation in the .NET stack and SQL Server, plus agile collaboration, is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; alternative: three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education.
• Proven experience in .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, C#, WPF, WCF, SQL Server; strong API development.
• Experience with Agile Scrum and data solutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interviews and workshops to capture user needs and document requirements.
• Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications and create process documentation.
• Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications following detailed designs.
• Execute test plans, analyze outcomes, and report defects to improve software performance.
• Support integration of new software features and transitions within the system.
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, documenting maintenance procedures.
• Systematically document coding practices and testing methodologies to enrich team knowledge.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 1, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Assist in conducting targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs, and ensure accurate documentation of stakeholder requirements
• Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications, and aid in creation of process documentation.
• Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications, following detailed design specifications to meet user requirements
• Execute test plans, analyse outcomes, and report defects to the development team, to facilitate enhancement of software performance
• Support the integration of new software features, facilitating smooth transitions within the existing system infrastructure
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and creation of comprehensive documentation for ongoing system maintenance
• Systematically document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository

Required Skill and Experience

• .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, C#, WPF, WCF, SQL Server, Entity Framework.JS
• Build and modify high-performance APIs and programs
• In-depth knowledge of design issues and best practices
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiar with various design, architectural patterns and software development process.
• Experience with both external and embedded databases
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience in Agile Scrum.
• Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to ensure high-quality architecture and efficient data solutions.
• Experience with being the technical escalation point for high-impact issues and complex problem resolution.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
