Advanced Decision Vectors LLC is seeking a versatile Multimedia Specialist to support the US Department of Transportation OST at DOT Headquarters in Washington, DC. You will handle video and audio production, live events, and post-production tasks under tight deadlines.

The role requires experience with studio and field shoots, webcasting, conference room AV setup, and basic graphic design support. Onsite in DC, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in live television or broadcast video production.
• Experience supporting agency productions across educational, corporate, federal, and broadcast media.
• Knowledge of AV operations, including camera, audio, lighting and editing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Operate video and audio equipment for DOT productions and events.
• Set up lighting and props for studio and on-site shoots.
• Assist with event documentation, conference room AV setup, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Support webcasting, video conferencing, training materials, and PowerPoint graphics.

Advanced Decision Vectors LLC ADV established in 2009 provides superior program management program support strategic planning and systems engineering to the Federal and Commercial sectors Located in Alexandria Virginia ADV is a Small Disadvantaged Business SDB contractor that has roots established in the Department of Defense and support agencies At ADV our company values are Integrity Distinction Experience and Achievement We are seeking a Multi Media Specialist to support the US Department of Transportation DOT MediaEvents Center providing multimedia production and event support for the Office of the Secretary OST This role supports a wide range of multimedia initiatives including video production live events press conferences broadcast communications and creative post production editing that support DOTs mission The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical production expertise and advanced creative editing capabilities with the ability to independently produce polished audience ready multimedia content under tight deadlines This position is 100 onsite at DOT Headquarters 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE Washington DC 20590 Candidates must currently reside in the DC metro area and be able to commute to the office daily

What we are looking for We are seeking a versatile and hands on Multimedia Specialist to assist with all aspects of audiovisual operations The ideal candidate will have experience supporting agency productions across a variety of formats including educational corporate federal and broadcast presentations Key responsibilities include operating video and audio equipment setting up lighting and props for studio and on location shoots assisting with event documentation and conference room AV setup and performing basic maintenance tasks A working knowledge of webcasting video conferencing and graphic design support is a plus Responsibilities Include but not limited to Supports all production aspects of agency features on a variety of modal and programmatic themes including educational corporate federal and broadcast media presentations as well as satellite broadcasts press conferences web casting video teleconferencing training programs Event documentation Graphic design printing and Power Point instructional materialsPerform a variety of functions relative to audio visual operations including operating a video camera sound system set up audio visual equipment support selection and monitoring equipment and operationAssist in the setting up of lighting for studio and location shootsRecords and mixes audio using microphones and audio mixerAssist with the setting up of the stage and propsAssist with the setting up of AV equipment in the conference roomsPerform simple maintenance tasks such as cleaning monitors and lenses and changing batteries and light bulbs

Requirements At least two years experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge as a live television broadcast camera operator audio operator live and robotic camera switchingSecurity Clearance Requirements This position requires you to have an active Public Trust A government background investigation will be conducted on selected applicants to determine whether they qualify for access to classified information Work Environment Physical Demands Working in an Office Setting Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to move and lift up to 15 pounds at times
