Advanced Decision Vectors, LLC is seeking a versatile Multimedia Specialist to support the U.S. DOT Media/Events Center.

This on-site role at DOT Headquarters in Washington, DC, covers video production, live events, press conferences, and post‑production editing to deliver audience-ready content under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with video/audio equipment, lighting, and AV setup, plus working knowledge of webcasting and graphic support.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience in live television broadcast camera operation and audio.
• Ability to independently produce polished multimedia content under tight deadlines.
• Experience with webcast, video conferencing, and basic graphic design is a plus.

We are seeking a Multi-Media Specialist to support the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Media/Events Center, providing multimedia production and event support for the Office of the Secretary (OST). This role supports a wide range of multimedia initiatives including video production, live events, press conferences, broadcast communications, and creative post-production editing that support DOT’s mission. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical production expertise and advanced creative editing capabilities, with the ability to independently produce polished, audience-ready multimedia content under tight deadlines.

This position is 100% onsite at DOT Headquarters (1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE, Washington, DC 20590). Candidates must currently reside in the DC metro area and be able to commute to the office daily.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a versatile and hands-on Multimedia Specialist to assist with all aspects of audiovisual operations. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting agency productions across a variety of formats including educational, corporate, federal, and broadcast presentations. Key responsibilities include operating video and audio equipment, setting up lighting and props for studio and on-location shoots, assisting with event documentation and conference room AV setup, and performing basic maintenance tasks. A working knowledge of webcasting, video conferencing, and graphic design support is a plus.

Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

• Supports all production aspects of agency features on a variety of modal and programmatic themes including educational, corporate, federal and broadcast media presentations, as well as satellite broadcasts, press conferences, web casting, video teleconferencing, training programs, Event documentation, Graphic design, printing and Power Point instructional materials.
• Perform a variety of functions relative to audio visual operations including operating a video camera, sound system set up, audio visual equipment support, selection and monitoring equipment and operation.
• Assist in the setting up of lighting for studio and location shots.
• Records and mixes audio, using microphones and audio mixer.
• Assist with the setting up of the stage and props.
• Assist with the setting up of AV equipment in the conference rooms.
• Perform simple maintenance tasks such as cleaning monitors and lenses and changing batteries and light bulbs.

Requirements

• At least two years’ experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge as a live television broadcast camera operator, audio operator, live and robotic camera switching.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires you to have an active Public Trust. A government background investigation will be conducted on selected applicants to determine whether they qualify for access to classified information.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

Working in an Office Setting. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to move and lift up to 15 pounds at times.
