Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive/mechanical training or certification preferred.
• CDL is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience with DOT inspections or vehicle maintenance is desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DOT inspections and perform onsite repairs to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Perform safety assessments, brake tests, electrical lighting tests, and tire inspections.
• Document inspection findings and complete required reports and forms.
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration and proper condition.
• Travel extensively to multiple locations, including remote areas.
