The candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude, repair skills, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments, with day or night shifts, overtime, and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; CDL preferred.
• Experience with DOT inspections or vehicle maintenance is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and repairs of commercial vehicles per regulations.
• Conduct safety tests including brakes, emissions, and tires.
• Document findings and complete reports accurately.
• Coordinate travel and routes to cover assigned regions.
• Train drivers and fleet staff on safety procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment.
• Stay updated on DOT regulations and best practices.
• Travel extensively, including overnight and short notice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
