Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in the Sterling area seeks a reliable DOT Delivery Driver to move materials to job sites. You’ll load, secure, and deliver on time, support warehouse operations, and uphold safety and DOT standards.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 4:00am–12:00pm, with pay starting at $24.00–$26.00 per hour depending on experience. Strong communication and professional conduct at each stop are required to protect Shepherd’s reputation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current DOT certification and Medical Certification cards required.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to drive box and flatbed trucks with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Knowledge of air brake systems.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. using proper technique.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Flexibility for second-shift work as needed.
• Strong verbal communication skills; ability to represent Shepherd professionally.
• Familiarity with Sterling-area routes preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials on local routes using box and flatbed trucks (manual and automatic transmissions).
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently at each stop.
• Handle materials with care to prevent damage in transit.
• Complete routes accurately and on time — no customer left wondering.
