Job Description

We are looking for bright, energetic individuals to join our team of Delivery Drivers. Our Furniture Delivery Drivers are responsible for the delivery and setup of merchandise in customers’ homes. Drivers perform delivery functions safely and professionally, while staying on schedule to meet customer expectations. If you are motivated to succeed and enjoy hands-on work, this is the opportunity for you. We focus on Customer Service, Integrity, Quality, and Teamwork.

Pay

Starting at $[insert pay] an hour, more with experience

Schedule

Shifts start at 7:30 am and work until completion. Routes may run 4 or 5 days per week, but not on Sundays.

Responsibilities

1. Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously.
2. Deliver and set up furniture in customers’ homes.
3. Maintain high performance levels within the customer time window.
4. Accurately document delivery transactions using mobile devices or paperwork.
5. Unload or load products as needed at various locations.
6. Assist in the warehouse or showroom if needed.

Job Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift 150 pounds.
• DOT Certification (paid by company).
• Pass background check and drug screening.

Work Environment

• Driving in Havertys trucks; proper uniform and safety gear required.
• Shifts start at 7:30 am, up to 5 days/week, no Sundays.

Physical Demands

• Complete a physical assessment.
• Move 150 pounds, including lifting and pushing.
