Job summary

Pick Your Part in Los Angeles is seeking a dependable driver to operate a company vehicle, pick up vehicles from auctions or private parties, load and secure the load, collect paperwork, and deliver vehicles to the plant.

You will follow DOT procedures, maintain safety, sign off on deliveries, and complete annual training. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of related experience preferred.
• At least six months of warehouse operations experience preferred.
• At least one year of commercial driving experience or a certificate from an accredited commercial driving school preferred; valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Must qualify for corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance.
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age; comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner.
• Follow DOT procedures.
• Pick up vehicles at auction or private party and load onto the truck.
• Secure vehicles and verify the condition of the truck and the load; gather paperwork.
• Leave the plant with orders, drive to pickup destination, and verify vehicles.
• Obtain a signature at the pickup location and sign off verifying load integrity.
• Make proper notations on the vehicles.
• Ensure safety and comply with company policies.
• Complete annual training as assigned.
• Operate in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
