Job summary

Depot Connect International in North Charleston, SC is seeking a DOT inspection certified mechanic with experience on trailers, tanks, or chassis. Shift Mon–Fri, 7:30AM–4:30PM, with pay ranging from $24.00 to $36.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• DOT inspection certified mechanic with experience working on trailers, tanks or chassis.
• Ability to diagnose failures and perform mechanical/electrical repairs on tank trailers.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• Welding experience (TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon) is optional.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical or other systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair tasks.
• Install/repair trailer suspensions.
• Inspect tanks and trailers to ensure compliance with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).
