Job summary

Palmetto Goodwill is seeking a dependable Truck Driver/Delivery Associate to pick up and deliver donated items from households, attended donation centers, and retail stores in Steele Town and surrounding areas. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, log routes, load/unload items safely, and coordinate with the Dispatcher to maintain efficient service.

Requirements include a valid South Carolina driver's license, a safe driving record, ability to lift 60 pounds, read a map, pass

Qualifications

Must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license.
Must have a safe driving record and provide a copy of the 5-year Motor Vehicle Report history.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and carry it 50 feet.
Must be able to read a map and organize daily route schedule.
Must be familiar with assigned area.
Must be able to pass drug-screening procedure.
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to be D.O.T. Certified.

Responsibilities

Pick-up and delivery of donated items from households, ADCs, and retail stores.
Perform daily pre-trip inspections on vehicle and post-trip inspections.
Maintain daily log of scheduled stops and communicate with Dispatcher.
Load and unload vehicle, safeguarding donated items from breakage.
Return salvage to centralized warehouse and transport trash/ scrap as authorized.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment (fire extinguisher, first aid kit).
