Job summary

Inova Center for Personalized Health in Northern Virginia is seeking a Dosimetrist 2 to join the team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday and includes a sign-on bonus; you will provide expert dosimetry planning and collaborate with radiology colleagues to deliver safe, precise treatments.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in dosimetry or a related field, at least one year of dosimetry experience, and certification as a Medical Dosimetrist at start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dosimetry or related field.
• 1 year experience as a dosimetrist.
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist upon start.

Responsibilities

• Performs intracavitary dosimetry, interstitial dosimetry and HDR dosimetry.
• Takes ownership for the correct billing entry for all Physics planning procedures.
• Performs two-dimensional and three-dimensional IMRT, SRS and SRT computerized external beam planning.
• Performs secondary manual calculations of treatment monitor unit calculations.
• Provides leadership and mentoring to level I Dosimetrists.
• Assists Physics in acceptance testing, implementing and troubleshooting treatment planning software.
• Performs secondary check of treatment plans.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
