Job summary

Frontage Laboratories Inc. in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Analytical Chemist on-site. You will develop and validate dose formulation analytical methods, prepare formulations for toxicology studies, and perform HPLC/UPLC analyses under GLP guidelines.

You will supervise staff, ensure compliance, and interact with study teams to meet timelines and budgets. A strong background in analytical chemistry and regulatory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC and UPLC systems.
• Mass Spectrometry experience preferred.
• Strong experience in analytical method development and validation.
• Experience with non-GLP and GLP non-clinical toxicology studies preferred.
• Excellent scientific writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced CRO environment.
• Experience in dose formulation analysis for toxicology studies.
• Familiarity with FDA, OECD and GLP regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Agilent Open Lab software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for dose formulation analysis.
• Prepare formulations (solutions, suspensions) for toxicology studies.
• Perform analysis of dose formulation samples using HPLC/UPLC.
• Analyze and interpret analytical data with high accuracy and rigor.
• Prepare and review method development/validation and DFA reports for GLP toxicology studies.
• Function as Study Director on analytical validation studies.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain analytical instruments and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with toxicology, formulation, and study management teams.
• Lead and coordinate activities of less experienced staff.
