The role manages compliance activities including preparing inventories, organizing consultations with consulting parties, conducting repatriation work, and serving as the primary contact with National NAGPRA and other institutions. This position requires expertise in collections management, archival work, and knowledge of culturally sensitive handling of Native American remains and funerary objects.

Key qualifications:

• Six years of direct work experience in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, Law, Native American Studies or related field (or master's degree in these fields)
• Knowledge of the Native American Graves Protection Repatriation Act (NAGPRA)
• Experience working with culturally sensitive holdings and collections management
• Knowledge and skills in cataloguing, classifying, and interpreting data in archival settings
