Job summary

Saint Louis Job Corps Center is seeking a Residential Advisor to oversee dormitory operations and support promising youth. The role emphasizes safety, accountability, and adherence to standards while promoting educational advancement and personal development.

You will mentor students, enforce schedules, assist with life skills, and document progress. This on-site position offers a wage of $19–$21 per hour under the SCA for the St. Louis center with required trainings and a focus on teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Two–four years’ experience in related field such as counseling, education, social work, rehabilitation, or vocational guidance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited college or university a plus.
• Able to complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
• Able to read email daily and reply to messages in a timely manner.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in adjusting to Center life with supervision and mentoring.
• Ensure students meet schedules and arrive on time for school or work.
• Prepare students for training days, including appropriate dress.
• Provide daily supervision for hygiene, room/chore assignments, and activities.
• Maintain dorms in clean, inspection-ready condition.
• Document student records and prepare progress reports.
• Communicate with management, staff, and students.
• Facilitate life skills groups and related workshops.

Education
