Job summary

Detroit Athletic Club in Detroit, MI is seeking a full-time Security Officer responsible for ensuring the safety, security and well-being of members, guests and staff, and protecting the Club’s assets. The role requires providing a memorable and impeccable first and last impression for all visitors.

You will represent the Security Department in a team setting, enforce Club policies, and support all departments with safety and service initiatives. Flexible shifts and physical duties are involved.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as a general security presence and deterrent to crime and clubhouse rule infractions.
• Prevent intruders from entering Club property and clubhouse.
• Monitor courtyard and surface parking areas for unauthorized activities.
• Remain at post unless a replacement is present or during emergencies.
• Maintain accurate log of security-related activities in Randolph area.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity and enforce Club rules.
• Maintain a clean first impression when members and guests enter the Club.
• Assist valets during busy times as members/guests arrive at the Club.
• Safely maneuver luggage carts throughout the Club.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Ensure the safety, security, and well being of members, guests, employees as well as the Club’s assets. Provide a memorable and impeccable first and last impression for members and guests.

Represent the Security Department in a team setting and provide support to all departments for safety, security, and member service matters. Tactfully and successfully enforce Club policy.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and clubhouse rule infractions.
• Prevent intruders from entering Club property and clubhouse (including vagrants, panhandlers, etc.)
• Monitor courtyard and surface parking area, preventing unauthorized vehicles and people from using these areas.
• Remain at post unless a replacement is present or during emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate log of all Randolph area security related activities.
• Monitor and report and respond to suspicious activity.
• Enforce all rules and regulations of Club that govern employees, members, and guests.
• Maintain a clean first impression when members, guests enter the Club (clean windows, empty interior/exterior ashtrays, vacuum carpets and runners)
• Provide a helpful, courteous and pleasant assistance to members and guests upon arrival and departure.
• During busy times of business, assist valets as members, guests arrive at the Club.
• .
• Safely maneuver luggage carts throughout the Club without damaging the Club’s interior.
• Any other duties as directed.

• Must have good vision and be able to use extremities to: Lift, Bend, Walk, Run, Stand indoors or outdoors.
