Job summary

Spectrum is hiring a field sales representative to acquire new residential customers in MDUs through door-to-door outreach in New York. You will use a consultative approach to identify needs and meet sales targets while offering Spectrum services.

The role involves extensive outdoor work, evenings/weekends, and requires a valid driver’s license. Base pay plus lucrative incentives can yield total compensation over $100,000 for top performers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 0-6+ months of sales or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of cold call sales techniques and persuasive communication.
• Ability to travel within assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle, including during inclement weather.
• Capacity to work outdoors for extended periods in any season or weather.
• Familiarity with consumer and commercial devices (smartphones, routers) and basic computer software.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive new customer acquisition by conducting door-to-door sales in MDUs with 49 or fewer doors.
• Support efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and penetration goals.
• Generate incremental revenue by adding Spectrum services to properties.
• Respond to customer problems following company policy and ensure resolution.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors' activity and pricing within territory.
• Attend sales meetings and training, applying learnings to improve results.
• Document sales activites accurately (dispositions, orders, reporting).
• Collect and provide receipts according to company policy.
