Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Door Assembler to join our Johnston, IA shop team. You will assemble exterior door systems, install and adjust doors, frames, hinges, locks, and weatherstripping, using hand and power tools to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, inspecting finished work, and maintaining safety and organization on the job site. This is a contract-to-hire role with strong potential for advancement and full-time hours in a stable environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, trim work, and door installation.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Skilled in door hardware installation and adjustment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, and repair door units, frames, hinges, locks, thresholds, and weatherstripping.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete projects according to quality standards.
• Inspect completed work to verify functionality, appearance, and customer specifications.
• Load, unload, lift, and transport door systems and materials as needed throughout the workday.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete installations and production schedules on time.
