Job summary

Mead Lumber Company Inc in Hays, KS is hiring a Door Shop Assembler to safely and efficiently assemble wood and metal components into finished products. You will load and unload trucks, move materials, assist customers, and help maintain an organized shop environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to read or learn to read a tape measure accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assemble wood and metal components per design specifications.
• Assemble components using staple guns, air nail guns, and other tools.
• Operate power saws and other equipment to prepare materials.
• Measure and verify dimensions for accuracy and quality.
• Load, unload, move, and package materials as required.
• Move completed products to packaging/shipping area and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
