Job summary

Owens Corning in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a 1st shift Assembly Technician. You will operate doors manufacturing equipment, perform quality checks, assemble products, and maintain safe, efficient workflows on a 7:00am–3:30pm schedule.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts, following work instructions, using tools (glue gun, sander, chisels), maintaining 5S+1 practices, and assisting maintenance and quality personnel to troubleshoot and keep production moving safely. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret production tickets.
• Identify defects and partially repair doors.
• High attention to detail for defects.
• Basic reading/writing skills and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Inspect product for defects and take action.
• Carry out measurements and weight checks.
• Assemble product per instructions with quality focus.
• Practice 5S+1 Lean methods in the plant.
• Read production schedules and adjust equipment.
• Gather materials and operate forklifts as needed.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance and housekeeping.
