Job summary

Owens Corning Doors is seeking an Assembler in Janesville, WI to join a production line and follow SOPs for door manufacturing. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, assembling, and moving doors as part of a rotating team.

You will contribute to a safe work environment, read schedules, verify materials, and perform quality checks to meet specifications. The role requires physical ability and steady attendance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting.
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and foster a safe work environment by upholding all safety rules and procedures, asking questions when unsure, and embracing our Target Zero philosophy.
• Read, understand, and follow production schedules ensuring the right product is manufactured at the right time and at the right place.
• Verify material being used is correct by reading the bill of materials.
• Palletize, wrap, and label units as needed.
• Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies to complete units.
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Follow production job orders and schematics, this position adjusts/sets equipment parameters and ensures applicable parameters are achieved.
• Gather materials as needed based on established production schedules to ensure a continuous and efficient door crafting process.
• Perform quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring manufacturing specifications are achieved.
• Communicate professionally and effectively to support product flow through plant.
• Maintain downtime records and production information as appropriate.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
