Job summary

Sylvester's Dock and Door Service is actively seeking a Door Maintenance Technician to support our Chesapeake, VA area. You will diagnose, service, and repair commercial doors, high-speed doors, sectional doors, operators, dock levelers, and gate systems for our growing client base.

Daily duties include installing new equipment at customer sites, maintaining accurate digital work orders, and communicating job status in real time while upholding safety standards on every project.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of recent experience as a Door Technician preferred.

Job description

Sylvester's Dock and Door Service, fast-growing building maintenance company serving commercial customers. With over 10 years in the facility maintenance industry, we have grown from a company of one to a team of 40+ employees - including service technicians, office support staff, and sales representatives.

The Role

We are seeking a Door Maintenance Technician based out of our Chesapeake, VA office to perform a variety of service calls for our commercial customers. Working safely and efficiently, you will install, maintain, and repair high-speed doors, sectional doors, operators, gates, dock levelers, and related equipment.

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial doors, high-speed doors, sectional doors, operators, dock levelers, and gate systems
• Install new equipment and components at customer sites
• Maintain accurate digital work orders and communicate job status in real time
• Uphold safety standards on every job site
• Represent Sylvester's professionally with every customer interaction
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed

What We're Looking For

• Two (2) or more years of recent experience as a Door Technician preferred

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $26.00 - $48.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
