Job summary

Sylvester's Dock & Door is seeking a Door Maintenance Technician to service commercial doors across the DC metro, Northern VA, and surrounding areas. You will manage a daily route of service calls, installations, and preventive maintenance for various facilities.

The role requires hands-on experience with overhead, sectional, and high-speed doors, along with dock equipment and access controls. We offer a company-provided vehicle, a supportive team, and daytime hours with overtime.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of hands-on commercial door experience required
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR

Responsibilities

• Manage a daily route of service calls, installations and preventive maintenance for commercial customers
• Install, service and repair commercial doors and dock equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with door systems
• Complete digital work orders via company devices
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and tools
• Communicate professionally with facility managers and staff
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and protocols
