Job summary

Elsewhere in Brooklyn is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Door position to welcome guests and manage entry. You will scan tickets, check guest lists, process on-site sales via EVENTBRITE, and handle cash and card transactions with a positive, professional attitude.

You will be the first point of contact at the door, answer questions for first-time visitors, and coordinate with staff and security to maintain a safe, welcoming environment across busy evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Comfort handling cash and credit card transactions.

Responsibilities

• Scan tickets from advance ticket holders and check in guest lists as they enter.
• Process sales using EVENTBRITE box office dashboard and handle cash/credit card transactions.
• Serve as the first point of contact at the door for guests.
• Answer questions from customers, especially first-time visitors.
• Communicate professionally with staff, guests, and supervisors on key information.
• Interact calmly with guests during high intensity situations.
• Report activities or behaviors conflicting with venue policy to managers.
