Job summary

Clopay Corporation in Troy, Ohio is seeking a Door Builder (CWD) to assemble garage doors using hand tools, power tools, and equipment, following standard operating procedures. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, plus carpentry experience and basic hardware knowledge. Starting pay is $20.28 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential.

Wage increases up to $26.30 are available after 24 months, with two shift options: 10-hour Mon-Thu 3p.m.–1a.m. and 12-hour Fri–Sun 7a.m.–7p.m.

• Basic knowledge of hardware for various door models.

Responsibilities

• Assemble garage doors using hand tools, power tools, and equipment per SOPs.
• Apply identifying labels to doors/boxes as required.
• Visually inspect parts and replace non-conforming items.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and maintained.
• Follow safety training, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

We currently have an opening for a Door Builder (CWD) in our Troy, Ohio location. Door Builder's starting pay is $20.28 plus $1.00 shift differential. Wage increases up to $26.30 after 24 months.

Shift Schedule:

10 hour Shift - Monday through Thursday - 3p.m. to 1a.m.

12 hour Shift - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - 7a.m. to 7p.m.

Responsibilities include:

• Assemble garage doors using various hand tools, power tools, and operating equipment, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Apply appropriate identifying labels to doors and/or boxes, where required.
• Visually inspect parts for defects; replace parts that don’t meet quality specifications.
• Keeping area and equipment clean and well maintained.
• Adhering to all safety training, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, must be able to lift 30 - 50 lbs, and have the ability to work at a quick pace.
• Carpentry experience is required.
• Basic knowledge of hardware required for various door models.
• Ability to read and write a limited number of words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
• Ability to count and perform simple math operations to determine information such as weight, temperature, and quantity.
• Ability to meet production and quality standards.
• Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.
