Job summary

Door Tech, a Lexington, NC-based manufacturer of aluminum storm doors, is seeking a Door Builder to join our skilled team. You will assemble various-sized doors, using a Pneumatic Air Screwdriver and other power tools, and ensure parts meet tight specifications and blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand, lift, and carry materials for extended periods.
• Able to read a tape measure and work orders.
• Understand English.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Self-starter in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hand and power tools is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aluminum doors using a Pneumatic Air Screwdriver and other power tools.
• Gather door assembly parts from carts and place on the door-building table.
• Inspect door components for quality and ensure they meet specifications.
• Measure and cut materials to fit and align.
• Install hardware such as hinges, locks, and handles with precision.
• Collaborate with production to meet daily targets while maintaining quality.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Cross-training in extrusion processing as needed.

Position Overview:

As a Door Builder, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that our doors are assembled with precision and excellence. You will assemble various-sized aluminum doors. You will work closely with our team of skilled craftsmen to create top-notch doors that meet our customers' expectations. Your exceptional eye for detail and commitment to quality will be instrumental in producing doors that are not only functional but also aesthetically appealing.

Responsibilities:

• Gather door assembly parts from carts and place them on the door-building table.
• Assemble the door with a Pneumatic Air Screwdriver and other power tools.
• Picks up and places completed doors on the cart.
• Cross-training in the processing of extrusion (using small punch presses, etc).
• Utilize your technical skills and expertise to assemble doors according to specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect door components for quality, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
• Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Operate hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and routers, to shape and finish door components.
• Install hardware components, such as hinges, locks, and handles, with precision and care.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
