Job summary

Towne Park LLC is seeking a Door Attendant to provide exceptional hospitality to guests. You will open doors for guests, assist with transportation needs and deliver items to rooms with a friendly, efficient approach.

The role requires basic English reading/writing skills, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass a background check. Training includes Wheelchair Safety and a customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three months related experience or training; equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen (18+).
• Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course by Towne Park.

Responsibilities

• Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
• Assists guests with room changes and with delivery/pick up of items.
• Provides directions, taxis, reservations and information about local amenities.
• Delivers messages, items and guest amenities as requested.
• Maintains a pleasant, professional demeanor with guests and colleagues.
• Uses Towne Park phone etiquette and proper greetings with guests.

Job Details

Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job‑related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay $14 per hour plus tips averaging $10-20 per shift.

Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position is open availability.

Summary

The Door Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Door Attendant is responsible for opening doors for all guests entering and exiting the facility and assisting guests with transportation to off-site locations.

Essential Functions

• Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest last names during interactions. Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location-35%
• Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks-15%
• Assists guests with room changes when needed. Assists with the delivery and pick up of items to guest rooms.
• Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests-25%
• Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries. Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area.
• Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested-25%

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or general education degree Required
• Licensure, Certification, etc.: N/A
• Work Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• For insurance purposes, must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen
• Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park
• If providing valet parking or shuttle services, may be subject to additional requirements
• Knowledge: Knowledge of customer service
• Skills: Must be able to read and write standard English language
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Must be able to write simple correspondence
• Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money
• Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
• Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
• Maintains accuracy and composure while under pressure

Scope

Authority to Act: Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department. Budget Responsibility: The employee has control over resources available only.

Working Environment The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes. Travel Travel of up to 5% may be required.
