OBJECTIVE:To maintain a clean and organized door and window receiving warehouse. To ensure that the product we offload is handled with care, properly checked-in and received, and placed in the correct location. Assist customers with will calls for door and window, assist loading the door and window box van delivery truck.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Unload all incoming freight trucks in the holding and door and window receiving areaVerify the correct quantities and products are received according to the packing slipUpdate orders and ensure paperwork is handled with care and placed into correct locationsBring stock products up to the main yard, warehouse or receiving locationsWork with delivery team to ensure trucks are loaded in a timely fashionCheck in incoming special ordersUpdate orders, label products and assign locations.Inform customers that the product has arrived and is ready for pick up.Receive purchase ordersMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Communicate with sales for Will Call Drive Thru orders.Communicate with customers and load vehicles for Will Call Drive Thru Orders.Maintain flow of vendor trucks, customers and Ashby trucksAudit Old/ Dead Orders; inform sales persons involved as well as Receiving ManagerContact customers that their product is ready for pick upWork with sales/buyer on resolving issues around damaged productsWork with Accounts Payable on questions about invoice discrepanciesAssist sales/buyers to ensure product is returned to vendorsAssist cycle counter with counts and product locations on stock productsBack-up staff in receiving, yard, warehouse as neededSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS :Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including phone calls, emails, chats, etcPossess great attention to detailPossess exceptional interpersonal communication skillsPossession of strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction on given assignmentsAble to work in a cooperative manner as part of a teamMaintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general publicMaintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health/safety and company policies and proceduresPossession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)Operate a variety of standard office machines: computer and computer software, including Microsoft Office, phone, fax, shredding, and copy machinesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Sit/stand for 8 hours per dayUse hands and fingers to manipulate keys on a keyboardVision abilities required by this job include close visionThe noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderateOccasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehiclesMust be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. occasionally; must be able to push/pull 50 lbs.Horizontal reaching with arms and hands is required; occasionally must climb or balanceAll mobility motions are required (standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing)Range of motion and physical activity occurring randomly throughout work dayThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed.
