Old-Castle-Building-Envelop in Newnan, GA is hiring a Door and Hardware Specialist focused on creating door fabrication detail packages and ensuring accurate project detailing. The role requires reading architectural drawings and specifications, and coordinating with engineering and vendors to ensure proper hardware integration.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and possess strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams under pressure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create Door Fabrication detail packages for the Door Fabrication Department from customer quote requests, sales orders and shop drawings.
• Check all data provided on a given project to ensure that the project is detailed accurately.
• Check for hardware compatibility with doors and frames detailed.
• Coordinate the receipt of vendor hardware.
• Work with engineering department regarding door and frame detailing. Check door hardware schedules on shop drawings as needed.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Door and Hardware Specialistis focused on creating door fabrication detail packages for the Door Fabrication Department.

This role is perfect for an individual who enjoys detail-oriented work, can multi-task and understands architectural drawings and specifications. This is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Create Door Fabrication detail packages for the Door Fabrication Department from customer quote requests, sales orders and shop drawings.
• Check all data provided on a given project to ensure that the project is detailed accurately. (ACCURACY IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT)
• Check for hardware compatibility with doors and frames detailed.
• Coordinate the receipt of vendor hardware.
• Work with engineering department regarding door and frame detailing. Check door hardware schedules on shop drawings as needed.

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural drawings and specifications
• Must be computer literate and have current/proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must be able to communicate effectively, demonstrate professional conduct; excellent written & verbal communication skills and have the ability to work under pressure
• Because the job function may include communication with customers over the phone, communication skills must be clear, concise and with confidence
• Experience in the Glass or Construction industry is a plus
