Job summary

NAMI Southwest Iowa is seeking a Resource Development & Sustainability VISTA to build and strengthen donor engagement for long-term sustainability. The role focuses on donor stewardship, annual giving systems, data quality, community partner engagement, and storytelling across nine counties in southwest Iowa.

The VISTA will develop tools, templates, workflows, and written procedures, organizing donor data in Little Green Light and creating a year-long engagement plan.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen donor development systems by improving donor tracking, segmentation, stewardship, and follow-up processes.
• Create donor communication templates, impact updates, annual giving tools, and campaign timelines.
• Document procedures and build a donor stewardship calendar for staff year-round.
• Develop systems for collecting impact stories and program data while protecting confidentiality.
• Produce a donor development manual, a 12-month engagement plan, and transition materials.
