Job summary

The American Swedish Institute seeks a Stewardship Specialist in a hybrid role in Minneapolis to craft and execute donor communications and events that highlight ASI’s mission and impact for donors, members, and prospects. You will lead annual communications plans and support executive fundraising efforts.

Key duties include drafting acknowledgments, coordinating six annual events, updating donor pages, and collaborating with programs and marketing to recognize donors across materials.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience in communications, marketing, development, or a related field with nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, and strong verbal communication.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with close attention to detail.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours for donor programming and events, including occasional weekends.
• Proficient using MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement annual development communications schedule.
• Draft donor and member stewardship communications, including acknowledgments and magazine and annual report copy.
• Support CEO, Director of Development, and Gifts Officer in donor communications, including gift proposals and impact reports.
• Assist with grant proposals and reports to government, corporate, and foundation funders.
• Plan and execute approximately six annual events for member and donor cultivation and stewardship.
• Partner with programs team to develop donor travel program.
• Work with exhibition and marketing teams to ensure donor/funder recognition in collateral.
• Maintain and update ASI’s donor and member web pages.
• Edit and proofread content as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed within the scope of the position.
