Job summary

Inside Philanthropy is seeking a Mid-Level Giving Officer to manage a western U.S. donor portfolio, focusing on cultivation and stewardship. You will develop tailored communications, engage donors in meetings, and advance giving through strategic engagement and compelling cases for support.

The role requires 6+ years in non-profit fundraising, excellent writing and public speaking, and a willingness to travel for donor meetings and events. Remote or hybrid work is possible depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years relevant professional experience including non-profit donor work.
• Superior interpersonal skills and comfort in donor meetings; strong writing and speaking ability.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage a portfolio of donors in the western U.S. for cultivation and stewardship.
• Develop tailored one-to-one communications and bespoke materials to drive engagement.
• Lead face-to-face and virtual meetings with high-potential donors and prospects.
• Assist VP in setting annual contact and revenue goals for the portfolio.
• Articulate EDF’s mission and create compelling cases for support.
• Produce tailored acknowledgments and manage donor data with confidentiality.
• Collaborate on planned giving opportunities across teams.
